RE: New Tv Box Converters

I to have a pass through dtc converter and I installed it between the winegaurd switch box and the VCR. I put the VCR on channel 3 and the TV on channel 3 and use the dtv box to change channels. With this method you can also record dtv programs.

RE: basement air

Is the switch in the rear compartment in the proper position. I have hit mine with the power cord while storing it and if it is in the 30A position it doesn't cool very good.

RE: What is the worst Road you drove on?

Phantom Canyon Road from Victor to Canon City Colorado. I think the trip was about 15 miles & took us about 4 hours.I love that drive but not in a MH.

RE: Towing Backwards using a Dolly

It's the steering geometry. It's not designed to run backward at highway speed. Its not designed to be towed with a tow bar ether.

RE: Whining differential on P30, can it be quieted?

Another thing to check is the trans mount or with that many miles just replace it. The mount can settle down after time and the two metal parts touch and that transfers all drivetrain noise to the frame. Its not that big a job and its not that expensive.

RE: Towing Backwards using a Dolly

I don't know the real reason they say not to tow backwards but I have done it many times for trips under 1K miles with no problems. If the suspension of a car was not strong enough to be towed backwards I would not drive the car. I have been in the auto/truck repair business all my life and worked for a tow company for a while and they recomend towing rear wheel drive cars with the rear wheels off the ground.

RE: Day/Nite shade removal - Pace Arrow Vision

Try opening the window and going outside and look up at the top. On mine the screws are on the out side of the top bar.

RE: what type of copper tubing for lp lines on rebuild?

My MH has black iron pipe on all the long straight runs and copper from the tank to the pipe and copper to the stove/furnuse /refrige and water heater. Between each connection they have it coiled once or twice to absorb vibration. And don't forget to leave a low point drain.

RE: Dolley or flat tow?

It would cost me between 15K and 30K to tow 4 down because I would have to buy another car. I bought a Demco SS tow dolly instead and it works great for me. I am only 67 years old and don't have a problem hooking it up and have never been in a campground that I couldn't park my dolly by the MH.

RE: Tow rating P30??

The GCWR is what the chassis/engine and trans combination is rated at. Subtrack the loaded weight of the RV and that is what you can tow if your hitch is big enough. Never go over your hitch rating.

RE: Air Brake Plunger Assembly (Update)

I assume you are talking abought the parking brake button and although I have been retired for four years every one I have ever installed was atached with a nut around the center of the housing or it had three screws holding it in place. I have seen the center of the mounting place break and I had to use two thin washers one on each side to reinstall it.

RE: Electric Awning

It takes more power to roll it up. The awning is either binding causing the self-resetting circuit break to trip, or the breaker itself has gone bad.
AVidIt could have a load limiting curcuit like mine does. If the motor draws to many amps it turn off. Have you tried riolling it out a little and then back in. Mine somtimes stop before it gets all the way out and I have to roll it back up a little and then back out. Sometimes I have to do this two or three times.
